White Wines
2008 Chardonnay, Gouguenheim
This oak-aged Chardonnay is one of the finest we've tasted from Argentina, with buttery aromas, a touch of citrus, and elegant oak. We also think it's great with sesame chicken. Mendoza leading light Susana Balbo crafted it from the impeccable fruit of Patricio Gouguenheim's 'Valle Escondido' ('Hidden Valley') vineyards in high, cool Tupungato, where grape-growing conditions are just about perfect. Doubly-rewarding for her; she'd urged him to invest his inheritance there in the first
Astrolabe Chardonnay Oaked
Grown at Astrolabe Farm and Two Ponds Vineyard, the grapes from this harvest were of unusual high quality with a great intensity of flavour and moderate acid levels. The resultant wine is straw gold in colour and displays ripe melon and dried stone fruits aromas, followed by a buttery, honeyed lift. A textured palate with an abundance of stone fruit, it has a pleasing weight and a long dry finish.
2005 Vouvray Moelleux 'Le Haut Lieu' Domaine Huet
Gaston Huet was a hero of French viticulture. He relentlessly championed the cause of top quality wine and his own beloved Vouvray in particular. He established his domaine as the standard for all others. As mayor of the village of Vouvray for many years he presided over the rise of the Vouvray appelation and exerted influence to promote the wines at every occasion. One notable battle was when he forced the TGV line that was being built through his region to be laid on rubber shock absorbers lest the vibrations disturb the wine in the cellars. The domaine is now ably run by his son in law Noel Pinguet.

The group Penaflor owns parcels of vines in the best part of Argentina where the sun shines 300 days a year! Harvested in April, the 2009 vintage is already in stock and is fresh, fruity and fabulous!Argentinian ros
2006 Chardonnay Reserva, Casa Rivas
A lavish step up in quality from our regulation Casa Rivas Chardonnay. Rich and weighty yet exuberant. The latest addition to our Casa Rivas range (showcase for Chilean brilliance) comes courtesy of grandiose, century-old Viña Tarapacá. Their 2,600 hectare Rosario de Naltagua plot lies in a loop of the Maipo River, 40 minutes' invigorating drive south of Santiago. Ideal growing conditions, notably cold nights and hot days, produce stylish, characterful wines like this.

DOMAINE FAIVELEY - Meursault 2009 75cl Bottle
The 2009 vintage gives us a light gold Meursault with a typical nose for its appellation. These aromas of quince, ripe peach, and grilled notes are also found on the palate, where the wine is rich and round. It's a balanced wine with beautifully long aromas and very representative of Meursault.
2008 Riesling, Watervale, Tim Gramp, Clare Valley
If you're looking forward to some expensive seafood (or just quiche on the beach), you'll be delighted with this intensely citrusy Riesling from Tim Gramp and South Australia's elite Clare Valley. The area lies on rich seams of slate, like those underlying some of Germany's finest vineyards. Which makes for impressive roofing and fantastically pure Rieslings. Sixth generation winemaker Ricardo Sanz has brought expertise and a flair for modern styles to Spain's Rueda region. His speciality is the ancient, temperamental Verdejo grape, whose delicate character is preserved by harvesting at night and fermenting the wines slowly at low temperatures. This seafood-friendly wine, a blend of Verdejo, white Rioja grape Viura, and Sauvignon Blanc is vibrant and zesty, with grapefruit, cut grass, gooseberries and tropical fruits.
BRIOTTET - Liqueur de Melon (Cantaloupe) 70cl Bottle
It was from Egypt, where it was already cultivated five centuries BC, that the melon set off for a long journey through Asia, via Persia and India. The 'Cantaloup' melon, cultivated by Roman monks, was introduced into France, in c.1495, by an expedition of Charles VIII on returning from the Wars of Italy. What a good idea! To begin with the melon was acclimated in the Comtat Venaissin and brought renown to the city of Cavaillon where Briottet's melons are produced. They are macerated to obtain a pleasant sweet, fruity and typical liqueur. It can be served as an aperitif or with desserts, alone or accompanied by champagne or white wine. Served chilled, it is excellent with sorbets, soups or fruit salads. You can also serve it in this cocktail: 3 cl liqueur de melons -1.5 cl vodka - 1.5 cl curacao triple sec - Fizzy water. To be drunk iced.

Castillo Santa Paulina Sauvignon Blanc
This wine is perfect for dry white wine enthusiasts. It bursts with notes of exotic fuits and has a wonderful freshness. This white wine comes just in time for the season. Fruity and refreshing, it will be ideal with fish or summery salads!More about Chile...The vineyards in Chile spread over 180,000 ha and lie at the border of the Pacific Ocean on the West and the Andes on the East. A new era of continous improvement started in 1850 when famous French wine makers realised the region's great potential and came over with their skills and vinification techniques. Chilean wine has become increasingly popular since the seventies and has clearly tickled our taste buds! The vineyards enjoyed another wave of investment and improvement techniques in the 1990s, which has allowed Chilean wine to compete on the international scene. Chilean wine is definitely worth a try, even for those who belong to the Old World school of thought! We are sure that it is only the beginning of the success story and that a lot of new exciting and fascinating wines are waiting just around the corner! And another thing... Chilean vineyards are the only ones in the world that have not been touched by phylloxera, a bug that damaged European and American vineyards in the 1900s. Some of the vines are 140 years old and are able to produce very rich, complex and well-structured wines.
2007 Watervale Riesling, Mitchell Estate
We've been fans of this stellar Riesling for decades. Incisive and elegant, with freshly-cut grapefruit and lemon zest flavours, it's fantastically refreshing, and a favourite at Cellar and Kitchen Store tastings. Despite having so many contenders for Riesling supremacy in South Australia's Clare Valley (an area north of the Barossa Valley with slate as bedrock - just as in some top German vineyards) Jane and Andrew Mitchell effortlessly lead the pack vintage after vintage.

Oriano Grillo di Sicilia 2010
The little-known Grillo is native to Sicily and southern Italy, and is one of the region's most ancient white grape varieties. It is more widely found in the region's fortified wine, Marsala, but is here used to make a unique dry white. Straw yellow on colour, with youthful green highlights. The backbone flavours are of green apples, accompanied by scents of almond, pear and camomile on the nose. Drink with oily fish such as mackerel, bass or bream.
